How We Work — Our Wrapping Process

Step-by-step process

Step 1: Free survey

We assess your doors, frames and surfaces. You get an honest report on suitability. If wrapping isn’t the right option, we’ll say so — we won’t quote for a job we don’t think will last. That way you don’t waste money and we don’t end up with a callback. We’ll also discuss finishes and any quirks so the quote is accurate.

Step 2: Surface preparation

Cleaning, degreasing, light sanding where needed. This is where quality is won or lost; we don’t skip it. "Trade-level prep" means we treat every surface as it needs: grease and grime removed, any loose or flaking material dealt with, and a key for the film to bond to. Skimp on prep and the wrap can peel or bubble — we do it properly so the finish lasts.

Step 3: Wrapping

Doors are removed and wrapped in our workshop for precision. Frames and carcass are wrapped in-situ. We use branded films (e.g. 3M, CoverStyl) for colour and durability. Doing doors off-site gives a cleaner, more consistent result than wrapping in the room.

Step 4: Reinstallation & inspection

Doors rehung, hardware refitted. Full walkround with you before we leave so you’re happy with the result and we can answer any care questions.

Our guarantee

  • Adhesion failure — covered for 5 years
  • Colour fade — covered for 5 years
  • Material defects — covered for 5 years

What voids it: customer damage, improper cleaning (e.g. abrasive products), or modifications to the wrapped surfaces.

Films we use

We use branded films such as 3M and CoverStyl. Branded film holds colour, resists scratches and heat, and has consistent adhesion. Cheap alternatives can fade, peel or look patchy — we don't use them.
